It's not just anywhere in the country that you can count on seeing this when you look out your window in the morning. It occurs most days of the week here in Flovilla, Georgia.
Know this. I LOVE deer. (Ask Christie and Peter.) They are so beautiful! And yes, I could sit and watch them all day long.
What I don't love is what I know they have done to my vegetable garden! I am pretty sure this lovely lady and her friends cracked open each of my developing watermelons, just to see if they were good. Too bad I never got to find out for myself! And some of them also enjoyed my zucchini, squash, and cucumbers that I never got to eat. Whatever. Now I'm so aggravated with the garden situation that I find myself rarely even watering it and just watching to see if I end up with any more tomatoes.
Here is Annie's opinion on the matter. She was NOT impressed.
Notice in the photo below the overly ripe Roma tomato (and dried up leaves) hanging there just waiting for this deer to sample. (Yes, I know...a styrofoam cooler. Red.neck. I was desperate for a garden and not one person *cough, cough* volunteered to dig me up a spot.) Anyway, you know she will eat it. She's just pretending to ignore it because she can see me through the window.
I am NOT bitter.

I *HATE* those deer! They ate all of my flowers once! If you'd like I'll cut all of the hair off of one of Mila's Barbie horses and make a voodoo deer?
ReplyDeleteOr, Maaaaaybe William should take up hunting? Just sayin...
