I am always in search of free entertainment on the weekends. Liam is very hands-on and doesn't really do well with the zoo or anything where he walks from one thing to the next in observation. He needs to be able to touch it, paint it, remove parts, make it fly, line it up like a train, or whatever else floats his boat. None of this "stand back and watch" business. (Much of that is a huge lack of patience, as well!) So, in an effort to find some free things to do, I was SO excited to see these events taking place at local businesses.

Okay, July is Kids Month at Borders Bookstore! To mark the 40th anniversary of landing on the moon, participating Borders and Waldenbooks are hosting a FREE
Kid's Summer Space Camp Event on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m.
Please call your local Borders to confirm that they are indeed hosting it and the time.Kids will enjoy the following:
- Storytime
- Games
- Moonwalk Trivia
- Crafts
- Face painting
Another
FREE event this Saturday is the
Build and Grow Workshop at Lowe's. (I really want to take Liam to this one!) This Saturday, from 10-11 a.m., they can build a helicopter with completely movable parts. This is a GREAT way for Mom or Dad to spend some quality craft time with their little one.
*You do need to register your child for this one. Just click on the link above - it's very simple.
As always, I would LOVE for you to let me know if and when you take advantage of the deals I list each day!
Have a super weekend!
